Every thing has its own value

Every thing has its own value

Acharya Brhaspati was a great teacher of Ayurveda in the University of Taxila. His mission was to make his students expert in the subject as well as the practical knowledge of it. In those days the teachers would test the students after their completion of the course.
When one student Jeevan, after finishing seven years of studies was leaving, the teacher gave him a small scraping instrument and asked him to go out to a distance of eight miles in all directions and bring a plant or herb which is not of any medicinal value.
The student went and spent eight days covering the distance in all directions , came back and reported to the revered teacher that he could not locate even a single plant or herb which does not have any medicinal value.
The teacher was overwhelmed and blessed his brilliant student saying " My dear boy, you are successful, go and spread the light of Ayurvedic knowledge in all directions ."
