  •  God gives, but man must open his hand.
  • Happiness does not come from doing easy work, but from the after glow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of difficult task that demanded our best.
  • One must learn by doing the thing. Though you think you know it, you have no certainty until you try.
  • Everybody exists. It is only the few who live. To live, you should have an ideal.
  • Say sweet things to your enemy, and soothing words to your friend.
  • Old age begins the day you cease to learn.
  • Ally yourself to a great cause. You may not do the cause much good, but the cause will do you a lot of good.
  • Success or achievement is not the final goal. It is the " spirit" in which you act that puts the seal of beauty upon your life.
  • Success in the long run is a measure of one's ability to turn the tasks into adventures.
  • The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much. It is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.
  • Leadership is acting when you see the need, without waiting for some one else to suggest it.
  • The best protection is an unshakable faith in the Divine Grace.
